Elegant Hill Country Wedding | Raylee + John

Raylee and John envisioned a timeless and elegant hill country wedding for their big day. They wanted a venue that had touches of the Texas hill country, yet was still elegant, and the Preserve at Canyon Lake was exactly what they were looking for. The couple said the venue reminded them of their hometown and all of the memories they cherish there, so what better place to celebrate their new life together than somewhere that reminded them of home!

Classic Wedding Looks

Raylee wore a satin fit and flare wedding dress with a ruched bodice. For her bouquet, she chose fresh white florals with pops of greenery to create a timeless look. Her bouquet had pieces of her grandmother’s wedding dress and her cousin’s dress from when she was a baby tied to it in order to remember those special women in Raylee’s life. The bridesmaids also carried similar bouquets to Raylee’s which looked beautiful against their blush pink dresses. John and the groomsmen kept it classic in black suits with black bow ties.

Floral-Filled Ceremony Space

The ceremony space was filled with white and green floral arrangements made up of white playa blancas, ranunculus, garden roses, hydrangeas, peonies, and garden roses. The lush white florals helped bring their timeless and elegant vision to life. The white florals looked beautiful against the light wooden chairs in the ceremony space. The focal point for the hill country wedding ceremony was a wooden cross draped in white florals and greenery that Raylee and John stood in front of to exchange their vows.

Elegant Hill Country Wedding Reception

The hill country elegance carried over into the reception space seamlessly. Each table had floral arrangements of various heights filled with white flowers and greenery along with white candles to add some warmth. Raylee and John wanted to honor their loved ones who had passed, so they had a memory table set up in remembrance of them. They also had big marquees letters with their last name right in front of the stage which added a fun, personal touch!

Unique Reception Details

The couple wanted to make sure their guests had a blast at the reception, so they decided to go with a live band. The band kept the crowd engaged all night and was a huge hit. They also brought out dance floor props including cowboy hats and foam glow sticks for guests to enjoy. And last, but definitely not least, they ended the night with Raylee’s favorite snack – McDonald’s cheeseburgers and chicken nuggets. It was definitely a night to remember!
