This timeless, romantic day at The Preserve at Canyon Lake is one of my favorite styled shoots to date! From the moment this venue began construction, I knew it would be a showstopper and I’m so glad we got to help show it off to potential couples! The elegant floral arrangements, gorgeous bride and groom, and outstanding vendor team made this styled shoot a dream to plan!
When I started designing this shoot, I took a lot of inspiration from The Preserve at Canyon Lake. The venue is a showstopper with clean lines and elegant details throughout. I wanted to reflect that in every aspect of the day. For the stationery, I went with a classic design from Peach Paper Design and used the pale pinks and crisp whites of the flowers for color inspiration. Classic flowers like peonies and roses were chosen by Reiley and Rose to complement the timeless elegance of the venue.
Simple gold jewelry from Nicole Mera and fun shoes with a tulle bow from Bella Belle were perfect pieces to complement the bride’s A line gown with cathedral length veil from Olivia Grace Bridal. The bride carried a bouquet of peonies and roses in various shades of pink and white mixed in with pops of greenery to create an elegant contrast. I went with a black tux from Rex Formal Wear for the groom to emphasize the classic and timeless feel of the venue.
The Preserve at Canyon Creek has a grand staircase that is perfect for a statement floral install and makes for a stunning spot to take pictures. Moving onto the ceremony space, I wanted to emphasize the romance of the venue, so lush florals and candles lined the aisle to create an intimate feeling. Two floral towers with pale pink and cream flowers highlighted the ceremony space without taking away from the showstopper panoramic windows that fill the space with natural light.
To provide a custom touch, I chose signature cocktails to reflect the bride and groom’s personalities. The cocktail menu was displayed on the beautiful wood bar that provides a gorgeous contrast to the airiness of the ballroom. The cake from Frosted Confetti added another elegant touch to the event. Nestled in a beautiful alcove, the four tiered cake was adorned with white flowers that complemented the space perfectly.
Reflecting the same romantic elegance of the ceremony space was my goal in the ballroom. For the tables, I went with white place settings with gold accents and candles in various heights to create that timeless feel. Low lush floral arrangements lined the tables and allowed for intimate dinner conversations while still making a statement. The fireplace was filled with candles and the mantle was covered in flowers to add to the romantic elegance.
