Disney Princess Wedding: A Wedding with a Subtle and Elegant Nod to Disney | Regan + Jared

December 7, 2022

This subtle and elegant Disney princess wedding was a nod to Regan and James’ favorite place, Disney World.  The couple loves visiting Disney World, so they added a few Disney touches along with some rustic details to create their dream day.  It was so fun getting to combine Disney details such as Sleeping Beauty and Cinderella with rustic touches to create a look that was classy, without being too cliche.

Traditional Catholic Ceremony

Regan and James were married in a traditional Catholic ceremony in Shiner.  Regan wore a stunning A-line satin dress with off the shoulder sleeves.  Her dress was a subtle nod to the dress Cinderella wore in the 2015 Cinderella movie.  Regan carried a bouquet filled with pastel flowers that looked so pretty when paired with the bridesmaids’ pale blue dresses.  James and the groomsmen wore classic black suits with black vests and white ties.  The couple looked beautiful standing at the front of the church, especially with Regan’s long train and veil flowing down the steps of the altar.

Reception Details at Subtle Disney Princess Wedding

Following the reception, Regan and James had their reception at Zedler Mill in Luling.  In keeping with the subtle Disney princess wedding theme, the tables had princess-inspired floral arrangements with pale pink, coral, and white flowers.  There were also pastel taper candles in hurricane glasses on each table that added an elegant touch.  For their table numbers, the couple chose silhouettes of Cinderella and Prince Charming dancing.  It was the perfect, subtle Disney princess wedding touch.  While the guests enjoyed cocktail hour, Regan and James took pictures in the open field at Zedler Mill. Regan’s dress had a detachable skirt which she removed for these pictures and the reception, so she got two beautiful bridal looks.

A Night to Remember

For their first dance, Regan and James choreographed their dance to La Valse de L’Amour by Patrick Doyle which is a song from the 2015 Cinderella movie.  This song was perfect for the subtle Disney princess wedding.  After that, the couple cut their cakes.  Regan chose a four tier white cake adorned with pastel flowers.  James wanted cheesecake, so he had a three tier cheesecake.  For the rest of the night, the couple celebrated with their family and friends.  Since Regan and James met at Texas A&M, they of course had to do the War Hymn with their fellow Aggies.  The couple rarely left the dance floor and had a blast dancing to their favorite songs.  We loved getting to celebrate the sweet couple and help them bring their subtle Disney princess wedding to life!
