I’m obsessed with this pretty pastel wedding! Pale pink, purple, and blue are some of the bride’s favorite colors, so we embraced that. The delicate colors were included throughout the ceremony and reception to create the most perfect day for Robert and Gege!
The wedding was held at a gorgeous private home in Boerne. The “party barn” is an 1800’s Dutch barn brought in from New York that the family remodeled. The walls of the barn are covered with rare art which was beautiful but did not fit the color scheme of the wedding. We brought in Unique Design and Events to transform the space with drapes. This hid the art that did not go with the theme, but allowed for the wood beams to still be exposed.
Gege and Robert were married several years ago in Hawaii on Magic Island, but they never got to have a wedding with family and friends. As a nod to their first wedding, the couple chose a welcome sign that included the word Magic to recall that special day. The sign was surrounded by dreamy pastel flowers from Remi and Gold to welcome guests to the wedding.
Since Gege and many of the guests were from Peru, it was important to incorporate her culture into the day. The couple had a bilingual officiant who performed the ceremony in English and Spanish. The ceremony programs were in both languages so that all guests felt welcome. It was a beautiful touch to the special day.
The ceremony space was flipped to the reception space while the guests enjoyed cocktail hour outside along their “riverwalk”. Stunning flower arrangements made of pale pink roses and purple and blue snapdragons filled the space creating a pastel wonderland. I made the pressed floral table numbers to tie in with the pressed floral wax seals which were on the invitations, place cards, and seating chart. Pops of gold from the dinnerware and chairs added an extra layer of elegance.
We wanted to incorporate some desserts from Gege’s heritage such as alfajores which are cookies filled with a pastry filling. They were delicious! We also filled the dessert table with other bite-sized desserts from Asukar which the guests loved. The real star of the show was the wedding cake by Jane Dough. It was a gorgeous three tier cake with ruffle icing, watercolor flowers, and gold flakes. It was the perfect addition to the pastel themed day!
