Kristen and Edward had the most stunning blue and white winter wedding at Swallows Eve! The bride always wanted a destination wedding so that guests could enjoy a weekend away, so Swallows Eve was the perfect venue. The couple loved the rustic chic vibes of the venue and that the venue has restaurants and a bed and breakfast. It was the perfect backdrop for their beautiful wedding weekend!
Kristen wore a gorgeous form fitting lace dress with a v-neckline and a low back. For her flowers, Kristen fell in love with the white and blue anemone so that was a prominent flower in her bouquet. She also had other lush white flowers with various blue flowers and plenty of greenery to complete the look. Kristen tied a navy blue velvet ribbon around the base of the bouquet which provided the perfect pop of color.
Kristen and Edward had their ceremony outdoors at the Swallows Eve chapel. The aisle was lined with floral arrangements full of white flowers with blue accents and greenery. They also had greenery wrapped around the chapel’s arches and had a wooden cross at the altar that was draped in a beautiful white floral installation.
After the ceremony, the couple took photos with their family and wedding party. Kristen’s bridesmaids wore different styles of navy blue dresses and carried bouquets similar to Kristen’s. Edward and the groomsmen wore light gray suits with navy ties. Both the bridesmaids’ and groomsmens’ looks were timeless and perfect for a winter wedding.
It was really important to the couple that they found ways to incorporate things that were important to them throughout the day. To welcome guests to the reception, guests’ names were printed on wooden golf balls and hung with golf tees as a nod to their love of golf. They also named the bar Birdie’s Bar after their dog and had personalized ice cubes. Plus, they made their signature cocktails reflective of their alma maters – UT and Baylor. The reception space at Swallows Eve was full of white floral arrangements in various heights with blue accent flowers and tons of greenery. To add a unique touch, we used patterned blue and white napkins from BBJ/La Tavola which completed the design. We also used navy velvet linens to make the space feel more wintery.
The reception started off with a 10 piece band and orchestra serenading their guests at dinner. As the night progressed, the dance floor was the place to be as the band kept everyone entertained until the very end. Guests enjoyed getting to wear light up cowboy hats and dance the night away with foam glow sticks. The party continued during the exit as Kristen and Edward were led out through their sparkler exit by a second line. They also had a trolley for them and their wedding party as the getaway car so they could continue celebrating!
